Personally, I am not a huge fan of DUNGEONS & DRAGONS full stop. It was one of the first games I ever played and we loved it for what it was but these days, its time in our group is over. I'm even less enarmored of 4TH EDITION. I have a friend who very much likes 4TH EDITION. We don't see eye to eye on this score, however, we both agree that 4TH ED would do a very, very good EARTHDAWN game. EARTHDAWN is an amazing fantasy universe originally created by FASA. It is vaguely set in their SHADOWRUN universe (but not really). Personally, I find the EARTHDAWN engine somewhat lacklustre (wow, I am REALLY picky, aren't I?) but the setting is simply brilliant, turning all the fantasy hallmarks on their head and making for some quality gaming.
